signing skills

When i see how i am signing, i feell like i am being clear but i still am usure of my signs. I am still not comfortable about signing what i think i am supposed to sign. I nedd to stop second guessing myself and make the mistakes so i learn. I think i need to get a tutor, but i have seen a big change in my signs since i have been here. Signing on the webcam for thirty minutes was hard for me to do. I know i didn't have thirty minutes, but even seing me sign for ten minutes is exciting to me. I am starting to catch on to signs, though i have noticed i need to stop starting my questions with "i have."

First Week Experience

Hi Ruby,

The first week of class was very rough and stressful for me. After i read the description of this class being for beginners, i was in shock to see most of my peers being fluent. I came into this class just knowing how to fingerspell and thats it. I have caught on to a lilttle bit more of the signing and i feel that if i knew how to sign more like the others, i wouldn't have to stress out as much. I get very nervous and lose my thoughts when i have to speak infront of everyone, but i guess i will have to get over that. The signing itself is an experience that i would like to take with me in where ever i go from here. One thing that i have learned is to just concentrate on facial expressions whether then the hands signing. It always in the eye brows and expressions.
